White House Wonders and Blunders

23 Apr

Whitehouse.gov

The front PR man for the White House also know as the Press Secretary Sean Spicer has made his own mistakes similar to Kellyanne Conway. The White House PR has not been ontop of its A game.

This fits inline with the Anti Donald Trump movement, and for those looking to bash the President and this Administration. It’s easy to make fun and poke at the mistakes, they all have them. Past and future presidents will ask make mistakes and have their blunders. How they spin and recover is where the success or failure mostly derives from. Handle a crisis well and come out of the bucket clean. Stop the ball and come out of the bucket covered in, well you know the rest.

I however don’t just look at this and make decisions on how I feel about the president or his people. I use all the information provided and make an educated decision. The answers Sean gives are real vulnerable questions and he is usually off the cuff. Doing almost always invites problems and it’s hard to not slip on your own words. However, if he was too have and give only prepared statements the press pool would have a fit. The act like childish and immature babies as it is. Shouting out when they don’t get their way. Throwing fits when they don’t get the desired press pass. Picking sides instead of reporting the news.

Bill Clinton definitely messed up and had his share of issues. The press still did not pounce on him as hard as they did on President and First Lady Trump. Clinton lied under oath and betrayed the trust of the entire nation. His lovely wife then also lies to America over and over again. The list would fill out this entire article but luckily it is not the focus. President Bush had his share of goofs and mishaps. Oh and we must not forget about Watergate.

So maybe we should give the new President a chance to succeed before we make him a brand him a failure. He and they will no doubt have some problems but with some optimistic thoughts and hope maybe the future could be bright. Maybe this could advance us as a nation and the poor can have a chance at that success, the same as those afforded a smoother path.

So when I look back at the way Kellyanne Conway chose to sit on a couch at the White House, it hardly compared to sticking a cigar in a woman’s vagina as one of our previous President did. Also maybe the new White House press secretary has a slightly different approach then past ones but nonetheless he is direct and he gets the job done. A no bullshit press secretary for a no bullshit president posted on a Nobullshit blog.

PR and Conspiracy Theory

19 Apr

The fact that there are so many conspiracy theories. It’s unbelievable how many of them you cannot find out if they’re actually true. They must have some really good PR and order to keep them secret if they actually exist. Do they exist? If they do exist how can it remain so Secret?

I calling my people to point me in the direction of your proof. The thing that undeniably proves your theory or a theory you agree with. Can you point out the PR figures for that niche and who is helping cover these things up? Do any of them have a common link of who always talks about or debunks them. PR professionals would look at this as a problem but not necessarily a crisis. The crisis in a situation like this would be if no one believes the made up story or what the PR is pushing to them.

Many conspiracies have multiple layers to them. The people involved in the issue. Those who are covering up the issue and all those who are affected by the issue. Something that used to be a conspiracy and had now been proven true is the Federal Reserve Bank (a bank that is not at all federal) a private organization manipulating our currency and rates.  Everyone now knows this and it is no longer a conspiracy but just an example of how we shouldn’t just ignore conspiracy because they say to. The Truth is out there and it hides in plain sight sometimes. They must have a hell of a PR person. After all the backlash and people ranting about the Federal Reserve there were still not many protests.

Another conspiracy is the gold in Fort Knox. Is it there and full of gold or is it empty like Capone’s safe? Ask Geraldo Rivera about that one. What a gaff on live television. We should probably publicize this as that was and maybe we could get some answers. Get a celebrity to take it in as one of there pet projects. There are many documentaries online about this issue and most don’t have a definitive answer regarding if the vault had gold or not. Some people speculate that China has all of the gold. This is because they hold a large portion of our debt. Gold is also a popular investment item right now as well. People are dropping a lot of money into physical gold and now even gold stocks and retirement options so they are trying to make sure their investment is secure.

So conspiracies are out there but seem to stay hidden and quite. How do they do this? Well maybe it’s a secret society of Master Public Relations Gurus.

Is PR for me?

2 Apr

I originally took my PR class just to fill a void and get some credit hours. Another elective that sounded good enough. I never thought it would turn out to be as fun as it is. The work is not easy but not not anxiety attack hard either. After a few tests and a larger group project that we obliterated, I figured out this field is a lot cooler and more interesting than I previously thought.

A story I was following connected my major of Criminal Justice with my PR class. It was about a man who was tasered in his own home after relatives contacted authorities because they believed the man may hurt himself. When police arrived the man became more irritated and began to hit himself with a frying pan. I was curious about how the police would handle this so preceded on. The article took an unsuspecting turn when a minor incident turned into a larger ordeal very quickly. The police feared for their safety and the safety of the man (ironically enough) so they tased him with a standard issue police weapon. The man quickly stopped fighting back and dropped to the ground. He was unresponsive and the police switched into emergency care mode. The man was not breathing and without a pulse. CPR was administered but failed to revive the man. He died on the scene.

The police do not always handle incidents such as these in the most PR conscientious way. They struggle with timing and transparency. Michael Brown is a prime example of this. Other incidents in history show the same thing, for example Rodney King, O.J. Simpson, etc. This made me anxious to see where this all lead and to see if more protests would result from it. I say this because the man was white and not black but still killed by the police. He was not armed with a gun but still was killed in a police altercation.

I could not locate a large amount of information about this, maybe they wanted to keep it quite and sweep it  under the rug. Either way they did have a police spokes person release some statements. All this lead me to wonder if the police had or needed a PR person. If so maybe that be a great avenue for me to pursue. This would combine PR and criminal justice together. My professor at the time said they do not have a PR person per say but do have someone with some extra training that was an officer. The extra training was not even a guarantee. I now understand how they mess up so much.

All The Right Tools

26 Mar

Do any of us have what it takes to represent the PR world to its fullest? Do we know how to tap into that world and squeeze its lemons for all the juice they have?

I never thought about how much this field plays into our everyday lives. PR is everywhere and not going anywhere. But with that being said most PR events still are not handled correctly. Whether it is a new product launch or an unforeseen disaster, they are continuously handled incorrectly. I ask myself why though. If PR is this important and companies sometimes fail to the extent of going out of business. Why are they still not hiring the right people?

Thinking back I was able to clearly remember many different events where PR did not succeed in their mission. The government comes to mind the easiest for me. Hurricane Katrina was disaster of large proportions. ” Help is on the way ” That famous statement from every public official on TV. Some places didn’t see help for months. Footage was floating around of the piles of bodies around the Super Dome. I call that an epic fail. Failure to control the situation, failure to all be on the same page, and failure to be prepared.

Big business also falls short sometimes when it counts. Take Volkswagen for example, a PR nightmare not handled horribly but not capitalizing where they could. They didn’t get out in front of it and if they knew about it before hand they should have been working on a strategy in the beginning steps, not after the crisis. Key to success is always being out front of the issues and scanning constantly.

In Desperate Need of P.R.

5 Mar

We thought Trump was off the cuff and a P.R. nightmare and he very well couple be. However, White House Counciler Kellyanne Conway has been right up there in the spotlight a long with him. She sure knows how to stay in the headlines. It makes no difference whether she is among reporters or the leaders of prestigious black universities.

One big gaff Miss Conway had lately was her choosing to do a live endorsement for Ivanka Trump’s clothing line. ” Go out and buy it” This is all in response to store’s removing her product from shelves or hiding it in the back of the store. Conway risked her career and/or credibility in doing this. The left calling for investigations and for removal of another Trump Presidential team member.

That was not her most recent goof up though. Her choice of seating style and placement during meetings with Higher ups of America’s Prestigious Black College’s. The way she is sitting had been called unladylike. They think she was fairly close to giving peeks up her dress. Also people feel there was a lack of respect from her to those visiting the Oval Office. What do you do when your PR person drops the ball? If any president ever needed a great spokesperson, this is the one.

I look forward to what Trump tweets and what Kellyanne does next!

A first week to Trump the rest!

23 Jan

Trump is our President now but despite this he is a P.R. nightmare. He doesn’t listen and tweets at 3 a.m. right off the cuff. Sometimes he tweets news and other times he is fighting with Hollywood and others who disagree with him and his message. So I ask my readers ” What do you think of the new President and his tweets?” I personally think of he wants to address the public then give a daily address. Don’t use tweets use interviews instead. The American people are trusting you and tweeting may cause him to loose that trust. Good luck in your first week President Trump and I hope to see a better America.

WELL WELL WELL

The School Shooting

16 Dec

The school shooting on the east side has been flooding the media. A very tragic event. However it is being used as ammunition against gun owners and gun rights. Every time there is a shooting they shift blame from the culprit, to the weapon.

A firearm may have been used but is not to blame. The deranged lunatic that pulled the trigger repeatedly is at fault.

Across the world another man flew off the handle and entered a school. Using a knife to murder 20 people.

I’m sure you have heard the saying “Where there is a will there is a way” I don’t believe it only works for good intentions!

All the chatter about this is why we should get rid of our guns. Its sounds like non sense. If people really think that if guns are banned and illegal. Its going to stop school killings and assaults. Then I got a piece of ocean front property in illinois that I would like to sell you.

What we need as country, society, and world is a moral makeover. Our souls need an intervention.

An unarmed citizen is a target. A bullseye for criminals, tyrannical government, corrupt law enforcement agencies, and any one else wishing to take advantage.

So, I suggest arming yourselves. Obtain carry conceal permits. Protection is necessary in a moral less culture!
